On the run from the police after destroying parts of a police training facility Dimitri, William, and Steven attempt to escape Atlanta and get back to Roger and the Monkey Wrenchers in Washington D.C. On the other side of the Gauntlet Kyle, Cora, and Mark walk the Silver Path of the Abyss in an attempt to rouse Scent-of-the-Untouched-Hills out of his Harano so that he can leave the Abyss and find his salvation.
